Capacity Buildup and Technology Platforms

The SFA-AM is a funding scheme that aims at strengthening collaborations and research activities within the ETH Domain in the field of advanced manufacturing.
Besides financing collaborative projects, the SFA-AM provides funds (16 Mio CHF) to the participating ETH instiutions (ETH Zurich, EPFL, PSI and Empa) that they can invest in capacity buildup measures or in technology platforms. This way, the institutions can boost their research capabilities in the field of advanced manufacturing, expand their research portfolio and offer specialized expertise in collaborative projects.
